In its past, the region was inhabited by different people and cultures, such as the Iberians, Romans and Arabs, who left their mark on architecture, gastronomy and other aspects of local culture.
At an architectural level, Alt Camp has an important monumental heritage. we find castles and watchtowers, Romanesque, Gothic and modernist style monuments, as well as intangible heritage of humanity such as “castells” (human towers).
The Alt Camp culture is rich and diverse, with a great variety of elements that make it unique and different from the other regions of Catalonia.
